| PRISMA Engineering S.r.l. is in Milan, Italy. We develop software, firmware and we supply professional consulting for embedded systems, Personal Computers (PC) and Workstations in GSM, GPRS, Avionics and Automation fields. We work with QNX, DSP, DOS, Windows, Unix operating system and we also develop device drivers for serial communication protocols. We develop simulator of the GSM and GPRS networks elements like: BSC, BTS, SGSN, GGSN, MSC, HLR, VLR, SMLC. The interfaces beween them are: Abis, A, Gb, Gi, Gn, Lb, Iub, Iu, Iur Our simulators support the following protocols: LAPD, SS7, MTP, SCCP, frame relay, ns, BSSGP, TCP/IP, ATM, AAL2, AAL5 According to the GSM and ITU specifications We support also UMTS protocols: SSCOP, SSCF-UNI, ALCAP SCTP, ITUN, AAL2, AAL5 List of keywords for search engines: GSM, QNX, DSP, GPRS, programmi, programmazione, RLC, firmware, embedded, MAC, systems, sistemi, device drivers, Gb, Milano, Milan, Italia, Abis, A, Italy, development, sviluppo, gprs, professional consulting, SS7, consulenza, Gi, Umts, Abis, Personal Computers, PC, computer, A, Workstations, Workstation, DOS, Windows, Unix, Avionics, Avionica, Atm, AAL2, Automation, Automazione |

The integrated solution for the equipment test in GSM and other telecommunications fields The Line Server Unit v.3 (LSUv3) belongs to the last generation of high performance test equipment and it is intended to support development teams, system test, acceptance tests and production tests in all telecommunication areas. This equipment is also suitable for a powerful development platform in the field of telecommunications. The LSUv3 allows to simulate, via the PCM and STM-1 interfaces, most of the functions of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS Network elements in order to test real pieces of equipment. The LSUv3 is the latest and more powerful test equipment among the
LSU series of systems.
The LSUV3 can monitor signaling or traffic channels, simulate protocol stacks, generate traffic with packet data or speech, modify data exchanged between two real Network Element, cause single shot or periodical events representing either failures or abnormal conditions, both for physical interfaces and protocols. The modular architecture of the system offers great scalability in terms of connectivity, processing power and channel number. A set of switching devices allow to distribute flexibly the data flow to the available resources and processors. The multi-tasking and multi-user operation based on a Posix
compliant operating system allows to use multiple applications concurrently,
to handle different interfaces with proper coordination, and/or to share the
system among multiple test beds, and/or to integrate it in the corporate network. The LSUV3 already supports a growing number of protocol stacks (LAPD,SS7, SCCOP, RLC/MAC,LLC,SNDCP,FRAME RELAY,NETWORK SERVICES,BSSGP,IP,GTP, MAP), and it can be used to test almost all the interfaces between GSM and GPRS Network Elements (Abis, A, Gb, Lb, Gi, B, C, D etc.). The LSUV3 was designed to operate in different modes, with the addition
of software modules, in order to satisfy the test requirements for different
project development stages (white box, integration, load & stress), final
and acceptance test activities, and for other application fields. In the following pages you can find a technical description of the equipment, descriptions
of the available software modules,
and a list of some common applications.
